About Us
Established in 2005 Play Piano is a privately owned self authoring hybrid Music School based in Swords County Dublin offering music tuition in an online and offline capacity for a variety of musical instruments from beginner to diploma level. We teach the Junior and Leaving Cert music curriculum and grinds to students considering undertaking third level music entrance exams. We offer structured tuition preparing students for graded exams while also providing continuous assessment through our own in house mentoring system.

Our mission at Play Piano is to make learning your instrument a pleasant and fun experience. We encourage self directed learning and our teaching is carried out in a creative and unhurried fashion. Our goal is to encourage the love for music and we are always looking at new and innovative ways in which to train and empower our students.

FAQ
What does your music practice undertake to provide?
Play Piano provides hybrid music tuition combining face-to-face lessons with online learning and mentoring, preparing students for graded exams and school music curriculum.
What about the lessons?
Lessons are generally conducted on a one-to-one basis and are 30 minutes in duration, designed around your goals with our in-house mentoring system.
Can I suspend a lesson during the Introductory 8 week course?
No: Once the 8 week course has commenced it is up to you the student to be here weekly to attend for your lessons. Any lesson/s not taken during this period will be forfeited. A refund will not be offered.
Can I sit in with my child on a lesson?
No. We do not allow parents to sit in on lessons. However in the instance where a child is a little nervous on his / her first lesson we do permit a parent to sit in for a few minutes while the student settles.
Will I get a progress report from the tutor?
Yes: We always encourage a parent / guardian to drop in on a regular basis for a few minutes on the commencement of a lesson in order to be briefed on their child’s progress.
